Audience responses to final music video

The following results are a combination of individual commenting of the other students and also vox pop questions:
Most features that were popularly praised by most viewers included:
"having a believable lead singer"
"funny and interesting storyline and narrative"
"well timed edits between scenes"
"funny car scene sequence"
"funny last scene"

There were also criticisms of our video. These included:

"Lester and AShley looking at each other didn't really work (shot reverse shot)"

"lighting wasn't great in Bar China"

"lip syncing didn't work"

"Didn't think Bar China was lit up enough... more colour could have worked better"

"lead singer out of sink, don't understand when the guys are looking at each other... liked the stoyline though."

"believable band.. but a bit dark in parts and shot reverse shot, he's on the wrong side."

"too dark in the bar, couldn't really see, also shot reverse shot could have been better."

"dark bedroom needed better lighting, also hand held camera not good"

"Stationary car, pretending to move - hilarious though... also dark in Bar china: was a bit grainy."

"shot reverse shot chat up sequence was wrong - guy was on the worng side"

It was clear, after watching the video over, that most of these points were valid and were justified. The bar scene did indeed need more lighting. However this was out of our hands seeing as bringing in a lighting kit would have distracted and effected the peoples' behaviour in the background and therfore would have effected the scene as a whole.

The shot reverse shot seemed to be the most noticed critical feature. After watching it again, it was obvious that the shots and angles involved in that sequence did not do enough to make the audience fully understand what was happening. This could have been improved by perhaps considering the needs of a typical shot reverse shot sequence and use that to effect in our video.
